OWL Needs Teachers

The 8th- and 9th-grade keystone class in our Our Whole Lives (OWL) program needs two additional teachers for the 2025–26 program year. Two of our long-time teachers have had to step away for personal reasons this year, leaving a gap on this team!

Our Whole Lives is a comprehensive sexuality education program grounded in our religious values as Unitarian Universalists. This level offers our youth almost 40 hours of age-appropriate instruction in physical, medical, social, emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of human sexuality. We actively seek all kinds of diversity on this teaching team. Teachers must provide clearance, attend a UUA training, and be approved as a teacher by the trainers. There will be an online training (requiring logging in on Monday and Thursday evenings and one Saturday) in August and there may be weekend in-person training options as well.

Please contact Director of Learning & Family Ministries Dawn Star Sarahs-Borchelt if you are interested in this possible service opportunity!
