A Time of Thanks

I realize that we are living in fraught times. Most of us are quite worried about the future under the Trump administration. We are focusing our collective efforts now on providing sanctuary for those marginalized communities who need a safe space. In time, we will be called upon to stand in solidarity with those fighting for justice.

But for now, take this moment to give thanks for the gifts we do have. Being alive at all is a miracle of the Universe; starting with nothing but stardust, we have become created creatures who create. Give thanks for the friends and family we do have. For our ability to give and receive, if only through our blessed memories. And give thanks for this congregation which stands ready and willing to receive you and all who need us.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Rev. John
