Jay Wiley
Jay has been on Main Line’s staff since July 2023. He has been a member of the congregation for 34 years.
Jay has served on many committees including the Church School Committee, Nominating Committee, Youth Committee, a past Ministerial search Committee, and from that served on the Committee on Ministry for an extended period
of time.
Jay has also worked with the O.W.L. (Our Whole Lives) team, and he has been trained to teach 8-9th grades, 3-4 th grades, and 1-2nd grades in this most important curriculum.
Most recently Jay has worked with the AV/Media Tech team for close to 20 years. During the period of Pandemic Quarantine Jay worked closely with ministerial staff and worship associates committee to create weekly video worship
services that were streamed over YouTube for more then 8 months.
It was from this intensive period, and into several months after, with a remote interim Minister from New Mexico, that the tremendous need for extended technology and the impertinence placed on worship with now Live-Streaming of weekly services, memorial services, and other important church events throughout the church year.
Jay’s professional background is rooted in commercial visual arts in both still and video production. He has worked both freelance and full-time staff positions spanning more than 35 years.
Jay’s other passion is music. He has been a percussionist since the age of 9. He’s a member of the church’s band Schrödinger’s Cats, as well 2 other music groups that he plays drums and percussion for.
